UWA offers a range of professional development courses, workshops and seminars for those in the mining and resources, legal, medical, pharmacy, education, business and public sectors.
Services include access to certain specialist and world-class facilities of the University and our extensive research expertise.
Mining and resources
- Postgraduate courses in architecture, landscape architecture, building science, environmental design, urban design and life and physical sciences and natural and agricultural sciences
- Specialist facilities including three-dimensional model making and laser engraving and cutting
- Services including language courses, research such as Native Title and Indigenous issues and commissioned histories
- Programs for business and industry.
Engineering
- Postgraduate courses in engineering, financial mathematics and statistical science, IT and computer science, general arts, anthropology and archaeology, communication studies and languages
- Short courses in engineering asset management and reliability engineering and oil and gas engineering through intensive weekend workshops, evening and online classes.
Legal
- Continuing professional development activities are offered to the legal profession, of which UWA is an accredited Quality Assurance provider, and include conferences, seminars and evening presentations.
Medical
- The Teaching on the Run program provides quality workshops on teaching and supervision for clinicians
- The Education Centre provides courses, seminars and workshops to groups who deliver medical, dental, health science and podiatric courses
- Master of Science Communication and Education graduates are qualified to teach science in high school or work in any science-related organisation that has an education mandate.
Pharmacy
The UWA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program in Pharmacy enables pharmacists to meet the entire CPD requirements for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. It offers:

- regular updates to individual pharmacists of their CPD credits status and requirements.
